Bad/amusing
I am a conehead, but not in a good way. While packing my groceries, I stood up too quickly and hit my head on the boot of my car. Alex, is right, I AM always smacking my noggin. I wonder if it's doing me any permanent damage. I guess it's possible. I have a huge pointy lump on the top of my head, which is amusing, but incredibly sore. It bled when I did it, which pissed me off because I JUST had a haircut and put expensive product in.
Good
After traipsing around three places, I saved about $40 on my grocery bill. Considering the traipsing probably cost me $5 in petrol, it's good going. I did forget milk and toothpaste though, which are both kind of important. Currently, we're dissecting the four used tubes of toothpaste we randomly stored in the cupboard, to extract enough paste to brush our teeth in the morning.
Bad
It appears that another delightful side effect of my medication is sweating. For those of you who know how fastidious I am about such things, you can imagine my upset. It's not horrendous, but my paranoia leads me to change my shirt a couple of times a day. I'm glad I've realised it's my medication though, for a while there I thought I had Menopause By Proxy. I was pretty convinced.
Good
ZOMG HAZELNUTS!!!! While lurking around the picnic area, I noticed lots of little round nutty things on the ground. Given that I'm prone to eating poisonous things, I took one inside and googled extensively, only to find that they are indeed hazelnuts. WOOHOO! We already have great plans for them.
Good AND bad
Summer Magic, starring Hayley Mills, Burl Ives and Eddie Hodges. You can't beat a lineup like that, but the movie itself was total shit. Apart from Burl Ives singing The Ugly Bug Ball which was incredibly surreal, and had dancing caterpillars...

Sometimes my antidepressants make me really, really tired for a couple of days. Not every day, just sometimes. Today was one of those days. Nothing really helps, but I drank several strong coffees, and ran my head under the cold tap a few times. When I realised that running my head under the tap wasn't working, I filled the basin with cold water, threw in some ice, and immersed a good part of my head in the water. I figured brainfreeze would at least keep me awake. I woke up ten minutes later with freezing cold head still immersed in icy water.
See, if my brain just worked properly in the first place, I would never have thought that was a good idea.

-I didn't get up til 11am
-A sheep licked me
-I blew up our toastie machine and blew a fuse
-Cilla got covered in flour when helping Uncle Alex bake
-We went up a hill foraging for berries, and I caught my delicate areas on barbed wire. We didn't find any berries either
-I read two novels
Tomorrow, we have cat trapping training with Cat Rescue, and then will be assigned trapping missions. Trading in queer teenagers for stray cats sounds pretty good to me! It was time for a change.
